A brain, hormone, and metabolic approach to weight and energy - not a quick fix.

GLP-1 Metabolic Support for Women

A personalized GLP-1 program for perimenopause and menopause, focused on metabolism, hormones, and brain function. Not just weight loss.

Why Weight Management Is Different in Midlife

Hormonal changes can make weight loss more challenging during midlife.

Muscle loss slows metabolism, making strength training more important than ever.

Stress, sleep, and insulin resistance significantly influence weight and overall health.

Sustainable weight loss requires a personalized plan—not just medication or dieting.

What GLP-1 May Support

GLP-1 Metabolic Health Program FAQs

1. What is the GLP-1 Metabolic Program at Steady State Health?

The GLP-1 Metabolic Program is a personalized weight, energy, and metabolic health program designed specifically for women in perimenopause and menopause. Medical visits may be billed to your insurance when applicable, while GLP-1 medications are prescribed based on clinical appropriateness and billed separately by the dispensing pharmacy.

Our program includes a comprehensive medical evaluation, individualized treatment planning, medication management, ongoing dose adjustments, nutrition guidance, and continued support—all tailored to the hormonal and metabolic changes of midlife, not a one-size-fits-all weight loss approach.

Most telehealth GLP-1 services prescribe semaglutide or tirzepatide as a standalone weight-loss drug. Steady State Health prescribes GLP-1 inside a perimenopause and menopause framework, integrating it with hormone status, ADHD care, and dopamine regulation. The program targets insulin resistance, inflammation, and energy, and uses nutrition focused on protein and blood sugar stability rather than calorie restriction. The result is a clinical plan that addresses why midlife weight gain happens, not just the number on the scale.

Pricing starts at $139 per month. The monthly fee includes the medical evaluation, the medication shipped to the patient, ongoing monitoring and dose adjustments, messaging support between visits, and nutrition and lifestyle guidance.

Steady State Health offers both insurance-based and self-pay options for weight management.

If you use your insurance for medical visits, your appointments may be covered according to your plan’s benefits. If you choose our cash-pay Weight Management Program, the program fee includes your clinical support and is not billed to insurance.

If prescribed, GLP-1 medications are billed separately by the dispensing pharmacy and are not included in your visit or program fees. Weight management services are available to patients located in Oregon and Washington

Starting at $139/month – Semaglutide works on a single GLP-1 receptor and has a long track record for appetite regulation, blood sugar, and weight management. Tirzepatide is dual-action, targeting both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, and tends to show stronger metabolic effects in clinical trials. Josie helps each patient choose based on their medical history, prior treatment response, and budget. There is no one-size-fits-all recommendation here.

Yes. The GLP-1 program is available as a standalone cash-pay program for Oregon and Washington patients with monthly provider support at $99/month. It can also be added to Steady Momentum or layered onto Insurance-Based Care visits. Most patients who want both metabolic and hormonal care choose to combine GLP-1 with Steady Momentum so the plan is integrated, but this is a recommendation rather than a requirement.

Current evidence supports long-term GLP-1 use for metabolic and weight management when monitored by a clinician, and the medications are not specifically contraindicated in perimenopause. Steady State Health requires ongoing monitoring, dose adjustments, and lab review during the program rather than indefinite refills. Women with personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2, or pancreatitis are not candidates, and the medical evaluation screens for these conditions before prescribing.

GLP-1 programs are cash pay only. Insurance is not billed. Available to patients in Oregon and Washington only.Steady Start is a cash pay program. All services are provided by a licensed medical provider. Prescription medications are only issued when clinically appropriate and are dispensed by licensed pharmacies.
